Arturo J. Bravo has served as legal counsel to numerous companies and individuals throughout Latin America as a corporate and family law attorney (specializing in divorces and related matters). For the past 30 years, his practice has focused on negotiations, litigation, and legal consulting in these fields.
He holds a Juris Doctor (JD), Cum Laude, from the University of Miami, Florida. Additionally, he earned his law degree from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in Caracas, Venezuela, complemented by postgraduate studies in Procedural Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in the United States.
Mr. Bravo is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida (The Florida Bar), the State of Texas (State Bar of Texas), and in Venezuela (Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Caracas). Having obtained degrees and practiced within two distinct legal systems over a 30-year career, he is uniquely qualified to understand the needs and expectations of Latin American clients in the U.S. and U.S. clients in Latin America. His expertise allows for the seamless integration of both legal systems, ensuring effective representation and the resolution of complex legal issues.
Based in Miami, Florida, Mr. Bravo is a Shareholder at Crosswise Attorneys at Law, with offices in Caracas, Venezuela, and Miami, Florida. He is also a former law professor at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB), where he taught for 12 years in various courses, including Contracts and Guarantees, General Theory of Evidence, Insurance, Commercial Law, and Procedural Law.

In my professional practice, I have achieved a distinguished and impeccable career in my home country. We represent clients and manage cases across diverse sectors, including hospitality, real estate, shopping centers, insurance law, commercial law, international law, and litigation. Furthermore, I have spearheaded numerous high-level negotiations and currently supervise a team of more than 10 attorneys.
One of my most significant professional milestones was successfully shifting Venezuelan jurisprudence regarding arbitration through a landmark decision issued by the Supreme Tribunal of Justice in 2010. This case has been widely recognized as one of the most consequential changes and precedents in arbitration law in recent years.
Additionally, I am responsible for coordinating cross-border legal strategies with counsel in Venezuela and abroad, facilitating case exchanges with attorneys across Latin America, the United States, Belgium, England, and various other countries. As a former law professor at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) in Caracas, Venezuela, I had the opportunity to teach a wide range of courses and subjects, including Civil Law (Contracts and Guarantees), General Theory of Evidence, Commercial Law (Practice, Commercial Contracts, and Bankruptcy), and Procedural Law. I have been a member of the Faculty of Law at UCAB since 2000. Throughout my academic tenure, I have authored and published several articles and essays.
However, some of my greatest achievements have been as a mentor to my students. In fact, it is a long-standing tradition at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello for each graduating class to be named after a professor—known as the “Class Patron” (Padrino de Promoción)—who has distinguished themselves not only through professional excellence but also for their integrity and leadership. This honorary title is directly elected by the students. I was chosen six different times as the “Class Patron” for various graduating classes, a distinction that remains one of the highest honors conferred upon me by my students during my academic career.
